What is the Right Jet to Charter? by Mark Fleischmann
Author: admin | Filed under: air charter, charter flights, charter flights to LAThis seems to be an easy question. Right? It really depends on your jet charter. This depends on the distance of your charter, availability of aircraft, budget and the amount of people going on your charter. Usually a light jet is great for shorter distances. The typical light jet will seat 6-7 passengers and will be able to go non stop for times under 3 hours. Therefore, a private jet charter from NY to Miami would be great for this jet!
On a longer charter say 1800 nautical miles an aircraft like a Hawker 800 would be perfect. It is capable of holding 3-5 golf bags, 6-8 suitcases and a set of skis. If you plan on going cross country non stop like Teterboro to Los Angeles by private jet a Gulfstream 3 is perfect for the charter. A G3 can go approximately 528 MPH and has a ceiling of 45,000 feet. It has 157 cubic feet for storage and can comfortably seat 12-15 passengers.
