Many people like the beautiful climate of Las Vegas!   What a great place to visit by private jet!  The climate is great year round!  Not to mention it is the  ”Gambling Capital”.  Las Vegas by private plane is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes each way.  The distance from Teterboro NJ www.maps.google.com is approximately 1900 miles.

A mid size aircraft such as the Lear 60 is the perfect aircraft for this jet charter.  It seats 7 passengers and is extremely fast and has a top speed of over 520 MPH.  That is fast!  The private airport  in Las Vegas is McCarren International.

There are many interesting things to do while vacationing in Las Vegas.  There are the casinos and there is plenty of entertainment!  The shows are fabulous!  The food is top notch and really  palatable!  Whether you are going to Las Vegas for a convention or you are just thinking about bringing the family this place is amazing!  It is the city that never sleeps!  Next time you are making travel arrangements think about jet chartering!

There are many types of Mid Size Jets.  Typically a mid size jet seats 7-9 passengers.  The fastest long range mid size jet is the Citation X.  It is well suited for coast to coast chartering and has a range of 3070 nautical miles.

The Citaiton X has a range of 590 MPH which is quite impressive!  It has a maximum ceiling of 51,000 feet. The cabin height is 5.7 inches which is average for a Mid Size Jet and has 72 cubic feet for baggage.  It can travel from NY to LA in 4 hours time.  This is no small feat as an average Mid Size Jet will do this trip in  5 hours time a savings of 1 hour.  This is truly monumental as nothing even comes close in the convential business jet category!  That is simply amazing!

The first Citation X was delivered in June 1996.  Other Citations include Citation 3,6, and Citation 7.  The Citation X uses a Rolls-Royce Engine and fully integrates avionics and flys at Mach .92.  This is by far the fastest civilian aircraft! Wow!  It also has a passenger capacity of 8-12 passengers and is still in production. This aircraft is manufactured by Cessna.

When it comes to flying privately there are many choices of aircraft to choose.  There are several categories of aircraft.  There are Light Jets, Mid Size Jets and Heavy Jets.   Distance and numbers of passengers generally determine the type of aircraft one chooses.   Personal preference and budget usually play another significant role.  In some instances passengers develop a comfort level with a certain aircraft as they have flown on it several times.  Usually if the customer requests a certain type of aircraft arrangements usually can be made before the charter.   The more notice a client gives the better the chance of that aircraft being available.  The major private airport in the New York City area is Teterboro, NJ which offers a large selection of aircraft. Teterboro is a short drive from New York City.

So as one can see choosing the aircraft is not always simple.   Before the flight I recommend requesting pictures of the aircraft.  This is always a good idea so you won’t be in for any surprises!  Until next time all the best in your travels!
